I'm an equal opportunity reader but have a crazy, powerful passion for YA. I am a former Independent Bookseller who still buys & reads books like a bookseller. I love to recommend books and share what I love with others!

Ruined - Amy Tintera

Holy every expletive in the book. It's like The Throne of Glass and The Selection had a baby that allows a peek into heaven.

PHENOMENAL new break through in the fantasy genre.

The Rose and the Dagger - Renee Ahdieh

It's over?????

I can't believe that this was a two book run and done.

I enjoyed the characters, the eastern cultures and the story line so much that I wanted this story to go longer!

This is a future reread for me.

Flamecaster (Shattered Realms) - Cinda Williams Chima

I LOVE being back in the Seven Realms!

It's no secret that The Seven Realms series is one of my all time favorites, so to be back there feels just like a warm hug.

A cast of characters, new and old, with family ties and new struggles to better the realms makes this one helluva ride. Not that I expected anything else from Cinda.

Flamecaster starts with gut wrenching, heartbreaking first chapter........so just prepare. It shapes the entire story.

Fantasy at it's best, always.

Thank you Cinda! Anxiously awaiting the next!!!!

The Glittering Court - Richelle Mead

Richelle Mead can really do no wrong.

The Glittering Court is the first in a new trilogy by Mead that will follow the lives of three very different women, trying to find their place in life.

I was immediately sucked in and swept up by this enchanting story. As Adelaide's story starts anew at the end of this book, I'm not sure who's story I'm most anxious to see next! Mira or Tamsin? Either way, this is a trilogy I'll be longing for!

Finders Keepers: A Novel - Stephen King

This was one very involved tale, spanning decades and uniting new characters with old.

I enjoyed this sequel and am extremely grateful there will be a third installment with Hodges, Jerome and Holly.

I feel about them, the way the insane Morris Bellamy felt about Jimmy Gold.

Don't go Rothstein on me King! LOL ;)

Assassin's Heart - Sarah Ahiers

Loved it!

Lea Saldana is a kickass heroin who holds strong to faith and Family. Which serves her on her journey of vengeance.

Forsaken Gods, betrayal, ghosts, assassins and mafia style conflict makes this one a page turner.

Wink Poppy Midnight - April Genevieve Tucholke

Whimsical, tricky and utterly bewitching. Those words don't begin to do this modern day fairy tale justice. Stories and woven tales of magic, love, betrayal and loss keep you turning the pages until the very end.

I have yet to read anything like this and am at a loss on how to explain how, enchanting and haunting this book really is.

If you're looking for something fresh to get absolutely lost in, look no further than Wink Poppy Midnight.

Rebel of the Sands - Alwyn Hamilton

I LOVED this book.

I am really enjoying this new wave of YA, all with the Eastern Indian themes. From the myths, to the bandits to the endless deserts. I love everything about it.

If you're feeling this genre, Rebel of the Sands is for you!

I'm already anticipating the next book in what is to be a very adventurous series!

Yellow Brick War (Dorothy Must Die) - Danielle Paige

Magic is unpredictable. ESPECIALLY in Oz!

This series really spins Oz and it's cast of characters on it's head. I LOVE it!

There is an all out war in this installment, but there is no clear winner. With Oz and Kansas really intermingling, where the next book will take us is beyond me. But THIS one was a GREAT adventure!

The Forbidden Wish - Jessica Khoury

What a fun and adventurous retelling of Aladdin!

The story will not disappoint!

I especially liked a sweet little tie in at the end that certainly seems to hint to another possible twist on an old tale! One can only hope!

Fire Touched - Patricia Briggs

Another amazing book in The Mercy Thompson series!

This time bargaining with the Fae, leading to fresh knowledge, misadventure and, as always, fun with the crew!

I hope it's not another two year wait for the next book!

Glass Sword (Red Queen) - Victoria Aveyard

Just as gripping and fast paced as the first.

The  Red revolution and rebellion ramp up against the tyranny of the Silvers rule. Brace yourself for a roller coaster of action and heartache, with an ending that left me pissed and begging for more.

This one is climbing the ranks on my favorite fantasy list!

Morning Star - Pierce Brown

Boy I had a hard time getting through this. Because it was the end! I drag it out as much as I could.

Drug out the strategic battles, the heart breaking violence, the endless tense situations that follow war.

Eventually I hit the thick of battle and had no choice but to burn through the last 200 pages. I was a hot mess reading the ending of this completely consuming trilogy.

Omnis vir lupus.

Morning Star - Pierce Brown

Bloody, gory, battle. Sci-fi at it's best.

I'm having a hard time reading on. Because it's STRESSING ME OUT!!!

This Monstrous Thing - Mackenzi Lee

I LOVED this telling of Frankenstein.

Great cast of characters, fast moving and mysterious telling, all mixed with a classic tale that for me personally, is a favorite.

Cruel Crown - Victoria Aveyard

Given how much I loved Red Queen, I thought I'd enjoy a couple short stories.

These fell flat for me though. I certainly hope it's not an indicator of the much anticipated sequel, Glass Sword.
